La Palabre Is a non-profit organisation, that works for a gender equality in Africa and more particularly on Senegal where it has its headquarter. 

The association also fights against all form of violence towards vulnerable populations, mainly women and children. It actively fights against harmful cultural practices such as female genital mutilations, early and forced marriage, and all forms of violence based on honour.

To do so, we work with the vulnerable populations to raise awareness. For us, education is the key to success, that is why we run awareness campaigns in schools as well as with women's groups. The evening school allow us to offer a chance of success to the sixty children that attend our classes, and thus contribute to the improvement of the standards of living in the most destitute areas where the prevalence of harmful cultural practices is still high. 

We also act towards women and girls that have suffer violence, we offer them a chance to rebuild themselves and receive a professional training to reintegrate into the society.
